What's this website about then? Basically, instead of trying to build a website on one thing I liked, I went for doing a whole bunch of them, which means I've usually got something to write about. The intend also is to avoid a lot of information that's freely avaliable on other sites, hence the leaning towards reviews and the like. Why do you like Doctor Who? It's just a really, really good concept, and a lot of the time it's well-realised despite the cheapness. The whole idea of a hero character who doesn't tend to kill or even hurt people, but still wins, is terrific, and it's a show that can go anywhere, and do anything. It has its' faults, for sure, but more often than not it's pretty damn good. Why do you like Transformers? Well, they're robots who transform. That's cool, for a start. On topp of that, the comics were genuinely great and stand up pretty well even now, 20 years after a lot were made. Also, they managed to give the characters a surprising amount of, erm, character. Lots of the toys are very, very good too - the engineering on some is fantastic. Why do you like Lego? It's fun stuff... A toyline where you can design your own stuff and follow through on building it without having engineering skills is a great thing, and the Town stuff is just terrific. A nice big town laid out on a floor is a terrific thing to behold. The models are cute, and Lego men just plain rock. Why do you like Gobots? Well, they don't have the personalities, respectable media or street-cred of Transformers, but they're still some really nice toys in the line. The best thing about Gobots is the vast majority of the line is roughly the same size, meaning they display well together, and also it covered lots of vehicles Transformers didn't, which means both lines complement each other nicely. If you could invite six people from history to a dinner-party who would they be? David Bowie
