NASA Scientist
"The Battle for Gobotron"
VOICE ACTOR: Rene Auberjonois

Braxis was one of NASA's most senior scientists. However, thinking his genius was being wasted, he secretly made contact with Cy-Kill, offering to help him take over Earth in exchange for a share of power. Braxis did his best to discredit Matt Hunter's astronaut team, keeping NASA in the dark about the Gobots until the Reneagdes were able to strike and take control of the planet. However, the Guardians foiled the takeover attempt, and Braxis was placed under arrest.

He was later freed by the Renegades, and helped kidnap Mobius, a highly respected scientist from the new UNECOM organisation. The Renegades planned to use Mobius' Inverter Ray to subdue Gobot, but again the Guardians foil them. Later Braxis built a Dimensional Interphaser, summoning up Exor and her Insectoids from level 21 to aid the Renegades. When this deal went sour, Braxis finally got fed up with the treatment he was receiving and walked out on Cy-Kill. He helped the Guardians deal with the threat and was let go as part of the bargain.

However, he was soon in jail once again, and was reluctantly sprang by the Renegade Pincher, being coerced into building Cy-Kill a Nova Beam. He was then sent back to Earth (target of the Beam) when he had served his purpose. Braxis contacted the Guardians and tipped them off about how to combat the beam.

Later, Braxis was diagnosed as criminally insane, and committed. He was recruited by UNECOM to build a detection system to combat the Renegades' stealth field. This didn't work as intended, instead beginning to disintegrate Roguestar. His handiwork recognised, Braxis was captured again by Cy-Kill and Crasher, and forced to work on a solution. Having acheived this, he then stole a Renegade shuttle and headed out into the universe.
