The Renegades attackUNECOM are helping transport a disrupter they hope will jam the Renegades' Astro-Beam. The train is escorted by Matt and Small Foot. However, the Renegades have learnt of the device and plan to hijack it with help from the mercenary Trident. They easily knock out Small Foot, but General Orlando refuses to believe the train is under threat. The Renegades steal the carriage holding the disrupter, Matt and Orlando. Trident plans to use the device to boost the power of the Astro-Beam. The Guardians begin their hunt for the device in earnest, planning to trace its' energy output. They also begin to repair Small Foot, while Nick and AJ set off to find Matt themselves.

TridentMeanwhile, Cy-Kill uses the boosted Astro-Beam to kidnap Earth's most powerful leaders. Nick and AJ are captured by the Renegades, and thrown in a cell with Matt. The Guardians arrive, and Leader-1, Turbo and Small Foot battle the Renegades while Scooter tries to sneak insider and rescue the humans. Their attack weakens the cell their friends are in, and Matt, Nick and AJ are able to escape and meet up with Scooter. They confront Trident and knock him out, and Scooter uses the disrupter to beam the Renegades away from the fight - all the way to the Crescent Nebula. The Guardians free the world leaders, and capture Trident.

Like this is going to end well...Trident seems to be a cyborg, and is also an expert with electronics - having helped design the disrupter. His bionic left arm can crush rocks, and he can mount different tools on the wrist - a claw, a drill and a laser are seen. He has established a base on a volcanic island. Loco was presumably Astro-Beamed down from Gobotron. He's a bad shot even by Renegade standards, something Crasher derides him for.

AJ can pilot a jet. Britain has a female Prime Minister, but she doesn't look much like ol' Maggie - similarly, the US President doesn't seem to be Ronnie either. Scooter can plug into computers via a connection in his chest, and has a powerful laser in the tip of one of his fingers. Small Foot can fire a grappling hook from her torso.

IT'S ALIVE! IT'S ALIIIVE!!!Gobots Featured: Small Foot, Cy-Kill, Cop-Tur, Crasher, Loco, Leader-1, Turbo, Scooter.

Humans Featured: Matt, General Orlando, Trident, General Newcastle, AJ, Nick, the President of the United States, the Prime Minister of Great Britain.

Particularly Glaring Errors: Loco's alternate mode is tiny compared to the actual train. The Guardians seem more concerned with freeing Matt, Nick and AJ than all the world's leaders.

Moments of Actual Quality: Leader-1 leading the heat seeker missiles back to Trident's base isn't bad by his standards.

Unintentional Hilarity: What exactly is 'triple' about Trident's threat anyway?

El Loco. Actually, we should probably be grateful that he isn't Mexican...A serviceable action episode largely undermined by the inclusion of Trident himself There's a fundamental lack of explanation as to what he is, who he is, why he's working with the Renegades and so on, and his defeat is laughably easy. Similarly, Small Foot never seems to get a payoff for her earlier defeat, and gives rather a weak showing (granted, she was never much good, but again here you're left asking why they even bothered).

It's a bit predictable in some aspects (notably Nick and AJ's doomed rescue attempt), but it passes quickly enough due to a few good action set pieces and a relative dearth of stupidity.
