SYNOPSIS

Tri-Ceti is destroyed Thankfully Leader-1 locates a fault in the forcefield, and both the Command Center and the Trindle ark are able to get through before the planet is destroyed. Thinking them dead, the Renegades head to Earth, while the Guardians vow to get the Triamulet so the Trindles can find a new home. Cy-Kill modifies the device to function as a sleep inducer, and knocks out everyone at UNECOM HQ. The Command Center lands, with Trevor and Troylene helping the search. The pair of Trindles are spotted by Crasher and Cop-Tur, who let Cy-Kill know their enemies survived. Cy-Kill steps up his plans, using the Triamulet to isolate the worlds' leaders from their people and proclaiming himself ruler of Earth.

Cop-Tur takes a hitThe Guardians sneak into the captured UNECOM HQ, and Matt is able to swipe the Triamulet. The Renegades flee, and the Guardians hand the Triamulet over to Trevor. He realises they only have two of the three parts. Leader-1 tracks down the third, still in Cy-Kill's possession, and gives chase. The Guardians follow them to Thruster, but the ship escapes. Scooter goes missing, and after a quick search they realise he's onboard Thruster, and Leader-1 gives chase. This distracts Cy-Kill so Scooter can take the rest of the Triamulet, but the Guardian falls out of the ship. Leader-1 catches him, and they recover the Triamulet part. The Trindle Elders then use the Triamulet to regenerate Tri-Ceti from its' remains. Cy-Kill swears his revenge.

TRIVIA

Scooter hides from Crasher onboard ThrusterGobots Featured: Scooter, Leader-1, Turbo, Blaster, Path Finder, Cy-Kill, Cop-Tur, Crasher.

Humans Featured: Matt, Nick, AJ, Anya, General Newcastle.

Particularly Glaring Errors: Leader-1's response to two tiny aliens wanting to go on ahead searching for the Triamulet when he knows the Renegades are up to something and UNECOM have been knocked out? "Good idea!". Idiot. The Triamulet is still hanging around Cy-Kill's neck for a few seconds after Matt nicks it. It can't be the third part still, as it's gone afterwards. It does reappear so Scooter can take it later, though. What happens to Blaster, Path Finder, Destroyer and the three Zods seen on Tri-Ceti in the first part? The Guardians aren't seen after the escape from Tri-Ceti, and the other Renegadess aren't in this one at all. Astro-Beams are the get-out, but it'd be nice if they told us this.

Moments of Actual Quality: Cy-Kill: "I looove explosions!". Large ham.

REVIEW:

Tri-Ceti reformsRubbish once more. The episode's even cruel enough to hint it might have the dignity to end 11 minutes early, but it's not to be. It's the same repetitive nonsense as both groups caper around after all three parts of the Triamulet in the most stilted fashion imaginable.

As with "Invasion from the 21st Level" you're left feeling this storyline was picked almost at random for expansion to a two-parter. Unlike that one, though, even at one episode this would still be dire.
