Grand Prix 2 is the best damn racing game of all time, and not just because I'm really bloody good at it. Thanks to a wide variety of people, it's a game that never runs dry. You can change the shape of the car, the skins, the tracks, the lot. You can race in Japanese Formula 3, CART, 1960s F1, ALMS, the lot basically, all thanks to fan-made add-ons. Here are my brief, moderately bad contributions, most made in 1999-2000. They're not very good, but they'll always have a spot in my heart for being about the first things I contributed to the internet.

Erm, yeh, you sort of need Grand Prix 2 to run them. And GP2 Edit .

Benetton B201 (custom)

This was a guess at a colour scheme for the Benetton team in 2001, a three-tone blue colour which I was incredibly proud of at the time, and aren't massively ashamed of even now. God knows why I bothered, though, I hate Benetton. Also included is a non-tobacco version.

Modena Lamborgini 291

This was my first (and only full) attempt at a real car, the hopeless but loveable 1991 Modena team, as driven by Eric van de Poele and Nicola Larini. The sponsor text is pretty bad, to be blunt, and for some reason I did a lighter blue version. Also included are driver helmets and menu pictures, plus a potted team biography. Bloody Hell.

Lancia D2000 (custom)

A fictional Lancia F1 team to make up the grid in later years, with the awesome colour scheme lifted from their 1980s sportscar teams. The colouring is as blocky as Hell, but I think the basic idea is sound. Also included are an inverted version, and a red/black version.

Jordan 191 (Suzuka '91)

Most 1991 carsets are crucially flawed by not having the Pepsi-branded Jordan which ran at the Japanese Grand Prix. Well, fret no more!

Larrousse LH95 (custom)

Another one to pad out a carset, this time a "What If?" 1995 Larrousse. I'm pretty sure this was the first car I ever did, and despite a few rough edges, it stands up fairly well I reckon. Also included is an OTT text file and menu helmets for Eric Helary and Christophe Bouchut.

Lucky Strike Yamaha (custom)

Another fictional car, this time based on a Superbike team I was briefly besotted with. Incidentally, I did this in 1999, a few years before the BAR-Honda team started looking like this. I would sue, but then Lucky Strike Yamaha would sue back, and it'd be messy. Non-tobacco colours, with crappy "Lookalike" branding, included.

Shadow TP01 Honda

Yes, the inevitable "my car, bitch" entry. After being a five-times World Champion, I bought the rights to name of the Shadow team, meaning a cool colour scheme for my car. Obviously, Honda gave me engines, and I won two more titles before randomly moving back in time and restarting my career with ATS in 1984. Like you do.

Shadow Formula 3

Owning my own F1 team wasn't enough. I even ran a team in F3. How philanthropic am I? Actually, I'm quite chuffed with this one as it fits F3 carshapes.
