Original Printing: Lion Annual 1971
By 1971, the Spider could only command a single text story in the Lion Annual, his strip having disappeared from the weekly comic a year before.
The story sees the Spider acting as a trouble-shooter for a secret service operation, which isn't the worst idea ever, but is basically exactly the same thing just about any superhuman could do.
Worst of all is that instead of being dispatched to deal with a colourful supervillain, the Spider is simply after a tin-pot dictator named Pablo Kruzo. Laudable in a way, but it does lack excitement.
